PreciseFP offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that lets Claude work directly with your client data, profiles, form templates, and engagements — all from a natural-language conversation. This article walks you through connecting your PreciseFP account to Claude.
Before you start: Your user must be granted MCP access. If you're not sure whether it's enabled, contact PreciseFP support.
What you'll need
A PreciseFP account with MCP access enabled.
A Claude account on a plan that supports custom connectors (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).
Access to the Claude desktop app or claude.ai.
Step 1 — Open the Connectors settings in Claude
Sign in to Claude at claude.ai or open the Claude desktop app.
Click your profile (bottom-left) and choose Settings.
Select Connectors in the sidebar.
Step 2 — Add the PreciseFP connector
Click Add custom connector (or Add more → Custom connector).
Fill in the form:
Name:
PreciseFPRemote MCP server URL:
https://app.precisefp.com/mcp
Click Add (or Save).
Step 3 — Authorize Claude to access your PreciseFP account
The first time you use the connector, Claude will redirect you to PreciseFP to authorize the connection:
A browser window opens at the PreciseFP login page.
Sign in with your usual PreciseFP credentials.
Review the access request and click Allow to grant Claude permission.
You'll be redirected back to Claude — the connector is now connected.
Claude will store the authorization securely. You won't be asked to log in again unless you revoke access or your token expires.
Step 4 — Try it out
In any Claude conversation, the PreciseFP connector is now available. Try a prompt like:
"List my five most recent prospect accounts in PreciseFP."
"Find John Smith in PreciseFP and show me his birthdate and primary address."
"Send the Risk Tolerance form to Sarah Johnson."
Claude will tell you which PreciseFP tool it wants to use and ask for confirmation before reading or changing anything.
What Claude can do with the connector
The connector exposes the full PreciseFP toolkit — accounts, profiles, form templates, engagements, dataset definitions, and activity history.
See "Available tools in the PreciseFP MCP connector" for a complete list of what you can ask Claude to do on your behalf.
Troubleshooting
"Connection failed" or "Unauthorized": Your session may have expired. Disconnect and reconnect.
"Feature not enabled": Your company admin hasn't enabled MCP for your workspace. Ask them to enable it, or contact PreciseFP support.
"You don't have permission": Specific tools require specific PreciseFP permissions (e.g., editing client profiles requires profile-edit permission). Ask your admin to grant the needed permission to your user.
Claude says it can't see PreciseFP: Make sure the connector is enabled in the conversation — click the connector icon below the chat input and toggle PreciseFP on.
