Updated over a week ago

Enabling the integration

To enable the integration, click on your profile picture in the lower left hand corner, then select Integrations and click on the Docupace Integration box. Copy the API credentials presented in the integration details panel.

Go to your Docupace account, click your username on the upper right hand corner and click settings.

Click PreciseFP credentials on the left hand side, paste the API credentials and click save.

Go back to your PreciseFP account and click enable this integration. You will be required to enter your docupace site and rep code.

Your Docupace site is the address where you login to docupace. If you don’t know your Docupace site, please contact Docupace support.

Your Docupace rep code is one of the rep codes you have access to in Docupace. If you don’t know your rep code, please contact Docupace support.

If your Docupace account is part of a custom enterprise account the integration might not be available. Please contact Docupace support and request the activation of the integration for your enterprise account.

You can visit the integration details panel to view which site and rep code is currently in use.

Exporting to Docupace Quickstart / Starting Point

Click on a client/prospect name to open their account details. Click on the export button.

Select Docupace (Quickstart) from the available integrations.

Select which contacts from the account you wish to export. The primary owner is required and will be the main contact record displayed in Quickstart.

Once the export operation is complete, click "Open Docupace Quickstart" to SSO into your Docupace account and continue the workflow in Quickstart/Starting point.

Exporting to a Docupace Client Folder

Click on a client/prospect name to open their account details. Click on the Export button.

Select Docupace (Client Folder) from the available integrations.

If the client is not already in Docupace you can create a new record or, if they do exist in Docupace, you can search by last name and export into the already existing record.

Remember that the client in Docupace must have an email address in the Client Folder and must not be linked to an already existing PreciseFP account. If you are unable to find your client record even after confirming that it has an email address it is likely that the record was associated with a PreciseFP account in the past or linked to a Rep Code you may not have access to. Please contact your Docupace admin and/or Docupace support to troubleshoot the issue.

Importing from a Docupace Client Folder

Click on Accounts from the left hand side and then select All Accounts. Then click on the + icon in the upper right hand corner.

Click on the Import tab, choose Prospect or Client and choose Docupace (Client Folder).

Search the record you wish to import by last name.

Integration Notes

All clients and prospects will be exported to Docupace as Prospect. To have your client accounts exported to Docupace as Person you will need to map over a TIN / SSN and ensure that this field includes a valid value. The PreciseFP account administrator must open the integration mapper and map over a SSN field to the TIN/SSN field in Docupace. To learn more about the integration mapper visit this link.

First name, Last name and TIN/SSN fields are not updated by the integration. Once these fields have a value in Docupace, they cannot be modified by the export functionality. You will need to update these fields manually when required.

Docupace converts and stores some values as uppercase (ie. name, address, etc.). When importing from Docupace, values will be imported into PreciseFP as uppercase.

If you switch the client and co-client of an account that was previously exported to Docupace, it is recommended that you perform an export right away to ensure that Docupace is aware of the switch. If not, when you run an import, your client and co-client in PreciseFP will be updated with the wrong details.
