How to add a Secondary Contact that is not the co-client to an account profile and Form/PDF engagement

Updated over a week ago

You are able to add custom Secondary Contacts to Account Profiles and include them on any high security form engagement or as a signer to any pdf engagement.

To add a Secondary Contact to the Account Profile, locate and click on the record in Accounts > All Accounts and select the 'Secondary Contact' icon:

Then click to add the contact and enter the required information:

Please note there is a limit of 10 Secondary Contacts per Account record.

Once the Secondary Contact is added to the Account Profile, they will now be available as a Secondary Contact when engaging with a high security form engagement or as a signer for a PDF engagement.

For PDF engagements, they will operate as any other participant and will need fields mapped for their signature. For information on how to map PDFs, please view this help article.

For Form engagements, you will start the engagement in Accounts > All Accounts and select your Secondary Contact(s) as part of this process.

eSignature with Multiple Secondary Contacts

If you want to include more than one Secondary Contact as a signer on a Form engagement, you will first want to ensure you have laid down your eSignature fields properly.

You will want to use a Household page, rather than a co-client enabled page. This will allow you to label which signature field is for the Primary Contact:

As well as which fields are for Secondary Contacts. Please note that now when selecting Secondary in the signature field, you will be prompted to create a Group for these fields. This should coincide with the 'person' who will be signing here.

For example, I want to collect a co-client's signature, then a POA signature, as well. I would set up my co-client's signature field as such:

And my POA signature field as:

Please note that if a Secondary's signature field is set to mandatory, the template will then require a signer for that signature field in each engagement moving forward.

Now, when I engage my account with this form starting in Accounts > All Accounts, I can choose which Secondary Contacts are included and which signature field is theirs:

Keywords: Secondary Contact, Custom Contact, Account Profile, recipient, eSignature with Secondary Contacts, Multiple Secondary Contacts
