How to Pre-Fill and Send a Form Engagement

Instructions on how to pre-fill a form engagement, then send to the client within PreciseFP, or outside with a URL

Updated over 3 months ago

*Note: All connected fields in a high security template are pre-filled automatically*

This tutorial will show you step-by-step how to pre-fill an engagement for a client prior to sending it out to them and will also show you how to re-engage with the template that you pre-filled out.

Go to Accounts > All Accounts > Click on your client/prospects name. Click on the engage button and choose Engage with a form.

Select your template by either searching for it in the search bar or from your top 5 recently used or recently updated list.

Once you have chosen your Primary (and secondary if applicable) contact click the Review/Edit first radio button then click on the green Create and edit button.

You'll now be in edit mode.

You can manually type in data into these fields on the form engagement and as you go along it will auto save for you. When you're done inputting on the engagement and ready to send it out to the client, click on the X in the upper right hand corner to close out of the preview of the engagement.  Remember, your input on the engagement was auto saved and will show up when sent to the client.  You'll then be on the Engagement Details panel.  If you want to send the engagement by email out of PreciseFP click on the Send button.  If you prefer to send the engagement out of your own email copy the link and from there you can paste/send out of your own email.

Copy Engagement URL

Once created, an engagement will generate URLs for the Client and Co-Client/Secondary Contact depending on who was selected as Primary and Secondary Contact(s). To copy this URL and provide to its recipient(s), click on the engagement in Engagements > All Engagements and click on the copy icon:

Notes

  • The Co-Client's URL will always end in /cc

  • If the Co-Client is not selected as a recipient of the engagement and is on the Account Profile, the Client's URL can be pasted with /cc added to the end. This is now the Co-Client's link.

  • Data imported from an integration partner will store in the Account Profile, which is where the data pre-fills when creating a high security Form Engagement.

  • If your engagement has not pre-filled as you would expect it to, check your high security template's Connections.
